Sustainability has been important to FUTURA for years. In December 2022, the Board of Trustees adopted a comprehensive sustainability strategy based on three pillars. Futura has defined goals and measures for the three areas of "Futura as an employer", "Securities" and "Direct real estate" and will implement these on an ongoing basis over the coming months.

FUTURA's sustainability measures were rated "light green" by the Climate Alliance. This means that FUTURA is one of the most sustainable pension funds in Switzerland.
